In the early fields I began experimenting with assembling and exposing the elements of weaving. The separately woven strips reveal the tapestry’s method of construction by incorporating weft cords which were tied to connect the strips and create the whole. I began quoting African kente cloths, and creating areas within each work by changing the scale of the weft threads that produced the weaving.
